Born in Yi-Lan, Taiwan, Tzu-Chao trained at the Australian Ballet School before joining The Australian Ballet in 2005, where he performed in a wide range of classical and contemporary works.

He is currently a Principal Dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet, where his notable roles include Puck in Ashton’s The Dream, Colas in La Fille mal gardée, the Prince in Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty, Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, and Basilio and Amour in Carlos Acosta’s Don Quixote.

Tzu-Chao is known for his virtuosic technique, stage charisma and versatility across a wide repertoire.
