Shannon was a principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre, and Théâtre Ballet du Rhin. She has performed all major roles across full-length classical, neoclassical, and contemporary works by Balanchine, Forsythe, Bintley, Christensen, Taylor, and Bruce.

In 2013, Shannon was runner-up on Sky 1 HD’s Got to Dance, the only classical act to reach that stage. She was also a finalist and judge’s Wild Card on Britain’s Got Talent in 2016, again the only classical performer to progress so far.

Currently, Shannon performs with Chantry Dance Company and at corporate events and festivals worldwide, while teaching and choreographing for various school companies.
