Maddie was born and raised in the North West of England, where she started dancing at the age of 2. At the age of 16, Maddie left home to attend Elmhurst Ballet School, where she completed three years of vocational ballet training, graduated with a Level 6 Diploma, and had the opportunity to perform with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Upon graduation, Maddie moved to Siena, Italy, where she undertook a contract with Balletto di Siena. During her return to the UK, she worked and performed with organisations such as Walk the Plank Arts (Ruth Jones), WN Dance Company, and Wigan Old Courts. In 2022, Maddie moved to Leeds to join the Northern Ballet postgraduate programme, where she obtained performance opportunities with Northern Ballet Company in David Nixon's Nutcracker and Great Gatsby. Alongside this, Maddie began working with choreographer Sandrine Monin where she, as a performer and collaborator, supported the research into how dance/ performance can be more accessible for the Blind and Visually Impaired community. In 2024, this research developed into the establishment of the company Unbound Dance Theatre, whom Maddie performed with throughout their Regional Summer tour of 'Fireflies at Dawn' which premiered at Bradford Alhambra in 2024. She continues to engage with Unbound as a supporting artist collaborator and performer. Following this, Maddie joined Northern School of Contemporary Dance to develop her skills as a contemporary dancer, obtaining a First Class Bachelors Honours Degree with her one year of study at the school. During this training, Maddie was offered a Professional Placement contract with Phoenix Dance Theatre for the 2024/25 season which she undertook as a part of her Masters Degree with Northern School of Contemporary Dance; upon completing the placement, she finished the touring season performing as a Guest Company Dancer with Phoenix at Sadler's Wells East where she performed both lead and ensemble roles in the critically acclaimed work 'Inside Giovanni's Room' by Artistic Director Marcus Jarrell Willis. She completed her Master's Degree in Contemporary Dance Performance in Summer 2025.
