Born in Romania, Daria trained at prestigious schools in Bucharest, Monte Carlo, and Munich. She began her professional career with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich (2006–2012) before dancing with Ballet Zurich (2012–2014). In 2014, she joined Birmingham Royal Ballet, becoming a First Artist in 2018.
Her repertoire at Birmingham includes Dulcinea in Don Quixote (Carlos Acosta), Lady Mary Lygon in Enigma Variations(Frederick Ashton), and the Stepmother in Cinderella (David Bintley). She has also performed in MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet (Lady Capulet), Wright’s The Nutcracker (Arabian Dance), and van Manen’s 5 Tangos.
Earlier highlights include roles in Wright’s Giselle and Cranko’s Onegin with the Bavarian State Ballet, plus works by Spuck, Forsythe, and Spoerli with Ballet Zurich.
